Paul Kelley with Abet Laminati at London Design Festival (21/24 September)

Recognised as one of the most innovative designers in the UK, Paul Kelley creates very original and bespoke furniture and objects.

London-based Paul Kelley will present his latest creation at London Design Festival (stand B48), the most important British event dedicated to the world of design which celebrates 20 years this year.

The event returns from 21 to 24 September 2022.

Paul Kelley will present his handmade magnetic cubes for the occasion, as well as a new range of storage Tallboys and Lowboys.

The magnetic system allows the cubes to connect to each other in any direction giving the end user complete freedom to construct their own design and change it whenever they wish.

Originally reworked using Abet Laminati’s unique palette of surface colours and textures, the latest collection of cubes features new decors from the WHIMSY collection which was launched by Milan-based fashion designer Arthur Arbesser at this year’s Salone del Mobile.

The WHIMSY Collection celebrates the union of fashion and design, marking another important chapter in Abet’s history.

Paul explains “I want to explore expressive colours and textures on minimum forms to develop the Cube collections further.”

The magnetic cubes – originally exhibited at the Venice Biennale in 2016 and 2017 – are just a starting point with their playful qualities. They provide the ideal inspiration for easily building tables, chairs, displays, walls and bookcases.
