Venezia – A new collection by Giulio Cappellini

On the occasion of the Milano Design Week 2026, Abet Laminati presents Venezia, the new Design Collection by Giulio CappelliniA project born from a shared cultural and design vision, interpreting laminate as a contemporary material capable of engaging in dialogue with architecture and interior design.

The collection draws inspiration from traditional Venetian terrazzo floors, historic surfaces where fragments and colors come together in a seemingly spontaneous balance. This visual language is reinterpreted through a contemporary lens, where memory and innovation converge into patterns that blend materiality and color.

At the core of the project lies a reflection on contemporary living spaces and the evolving role of interiors, increasingly conceived as places of comfort and protection. This is expressed through a refined color palette of balanced, inviting tones, designed to adapt to different contexts while maintaining a strong and distinctive identity.

Conceived to interact with design across multiple scales, Venezia stands out for its versatility and its ability to integrate into diverse environments and cultures, expanding the application possibilities of laminate while reinforcing its relevance in contemporary design.

The collection will be presented at SuperCity – Superstudio MAXI (Via Moncucco 35).

Abet Laminati at Triennale Milano for the exhibition dedicated to Lella and Massimo Vignelli

Abet Laminati is a partner of Triennale Milano for the major retrospective dedicated to Lella and Massimo Vignelli, “A Language of Clarity” — one of the most anticipated events of Milan’s cultural season, retracing the contribution of the two designers to the development of international design and visual communication.

The exhibition — curated by Francesca Picchi with Marco Sammicheli and Studio Mut (Martin Kerschbaumer and Thomas Kronbichler), with an exhibition design by Jasper Morrison Office for Design with David Saik — retraces the Vignellis’ design vision through objects, furniture, interiors, drawings, models, photographs, publications and visual identities. The result is a visual balance that amplifies the elegance and formal rigour that have always defined the work of the two designers.

Providing the backdrop for the works is Abet Laminati’s Metalli collection: a silver-finish surface that clads the large display islands, articulating the space with precision and enhancing the exhibited works. The quality of the reflection, the formal rigour and the clarity of the surface complement Jasper Morrison’s essential design language, known for his ability to place the object at the centre without overshadowing it.

The collaboration with Triennale Milano is one that renews itself over time. Abet Laminati has already contributed to some of the institution’s most significant exhibitions, including the retrospective dedicated to Alessandro Mendini, “Io sono un drago” (November 2024), which was met with great acclaim from both the public and critics.

Ventilated façades – Training course for architects

On Thursday, March 5, a training course dedicated to ventilated façades was held, organised by Abet Laminati in collaboration with Federlegno Arredo Eventi and led by speaker Gunther Gantioler.

The event recorded strong participation, with 24 architects attending in person and more than 450 connected online, confirming the strong interest of the design community in topics related to the building envelope and its performance.

During the course, participants explored design principles, construction systems and materials used in ventilated façades, highlighting their role not only as an element of contemporary architectural design but also as an effective solution for building protection, improved thermo-hygrometric comfort and energy efficiency.

Particular attention was paid to the issues of ventilation, insulation and the durability of the façade, as well as the effects of ventilated façades on summer and winter comfort and on the energy performance of the building envelope.

For participants attending in person, the day concluded with a visit to Abet Laminati’s production facilities and company museum, offering the opportunity to gain further insight into the company’s manufacturing processes and history.

Abet Laminati - Laminates color of the year 2026

White laminates by Abet: where material meets light and creativity

Pantone® has announced PANTONE 11-4201 Cloud Dancer as the Color of the Year 2026, an ethereal and airy shade of white that reflects a growing desire for simplicity, calm and well-being. A colour that symbolizes a renewed mental space, where creativity can flow more freely and where light becomes a defining element in shaping contemporary interior atmospheres.

Within the Abet Laminati collection, this vision finds a natural expression. Our white laminates have always explored a wide range of shades, textures and depths, inviting designers and architects to experiment with matte, glossy or tactile finishes that interpret white as a living, dynamic material. From the purest technical whites to warmer and softer variations, each Abet laminate has its own identity, always serving light, balance and the quality of the project.

Cloud Dancer is not just a colour, but an invitation: to slow down, breathe and allow new perspectives to emerge. Abet’s white laminates amplify this vision, transforming the Pantone® message into materials ready for design.

Abet Laminati - Abet Spritz by Francesco Poroli

“Abet Spritz” The decoration for the end-of-year holidays

As per tradition, the new decoration dedicated to the end-of-year holidays has finally arrived: “Abet Spritz”, created by illustrator Francesco Poroli.

“Abet Spritz is always a winning choice, just like everything that has the word spritz in its name. The graphic design is inspired by the refined floors of the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele in Milan, an iconic place that is also home to the famous Camparino, renowned for serving one of the very best spritzes ever!”

With this gift, Abet Laminati extends its warmest holiday wishes who has followed us throughout 2025, a year full of achievements that confirm the company’s vocation for innovation, aesthetic research, and industrial responsibility.

During the Christmas break, the company will be closed from December 22 to January 6, 2026, inclusive.

Among the most significant moments of the year, participation in Milano Design Week 2025 was a central event: Abet Laminati took center stage in some of the city’s iconic design venues, presenting Hachure, the new collection by Pierre Charpin, for the first time. This project celebrates laminate as an expressive surface, reaffirming the ongoing dialogue between design and art that has always distinguished the company.

The 2025 journey continued with SICAM in Pordenone, where Abet Laminati showcased the expansion of the Rocks collection with new decors inspired by the authenticity of stone, an exclusive refined Capsule, as well as Velwood and Polaris finishes. Evocative installations highlighted the sustainable core of the laminates: Re-Abet, made with post-consumer recycled kraft paper.

In 2025, Abet Laminati also took another step forward in its international strategy with the launch of a project for a new production facility in the United States, supporting growth in North America and an increasingly integrated, future-oriented industrial vision.

With a presence in over 90 countries, a history intertwined with the great masters of design, and a constant commitment to reducing environmental impact, Abet Laminati looks to 2026 with the same pioneering energy: continuing to transform laminate into a creative material capable of interpreting the contemporary.

Abet Laminati expands manufacturing in the USA

Following the successful 2022 acquisition of Fiberesin Inc., now operating as ABET USA Inc., the ABET Group is proud to announce the next major milestone in its North American growth strategy: the construction of a new, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility for Abet Laminati USA.

Located in Johnson Creek, Wisconsin, the new facility will span more than 18,500 square meters on a 48-acre site, providing ample capacity for future expansion.

This significant investment will allow Abet Laminati to oversee the entire production process—from the delivery of raw materials to the manufacturing of finished laminates—within one integrated location. The facility will feature custom-designed, advanced technologies, as well as dedicated office spaces and a showroom to showcase the company’s innovative surface solutions.

The new manufacturing plant underscores Abet Laminati’s dedication to expanding its global footprint while delivering the highest standards of quality, design, and sustainability.

Abet Laminati successfully concludes its participation in SICAM 2025

Abet Laminati concluded its participation in SICAM 2025—held in Pordenone from October 14 to 17—on an exceptionally positive note, reinforcing its position at the forefront of the furniture and design industry.

The company’s stand drew significant attention, welcoming a large number of visitors and industry professionals. Highlights included the latest additions to the Rocks collection and the elegant Capsule collection, featuring five new designs distinguished by their striking materiality and visual appeal. Also well-received were the Velwood and Polaris finishes, as well as the Hachure collection by Pierre Charpin.

Visitors were invited into an immersive sensory experience, where they explored innovative surface designs both visually and through touch. Particular interest was shown in the stratified laminates with the Re-Abet core, made with 100% post-consumer recycled kraft paper, representing the company’s sustainable choice. Alongside these, the Polaris line with Full-Colour core stands out for its chromatic harmony, achieved through the perfect fusion of decorative surfaces and internal structure.

Beyond showcasing product innovations, SICAM 2025 served as a vital platform for dialogue with architects, designers, and partners, reaffirming Abet Laminati’s role as a key design partner—one that merges aesthetics, technological innovation, and environmental responsibility.

With renewed energy and inspiration, Abet Laminati now looks ahead to upcoming international events, ready to continue its journey of creative exploration alongside the global design community.
