Abet Laminati at SICAM 2026: a material gallery that captivated Pordenone.

Abet Laminati’s experience at SICAM 2026 has come to a close with great enthusiasm, following an edition that attracted a large number of visitors and industry professionals. The stand, an authentic material gallery designed by design curators Giulio Iacchetti and Matteo Ragni, offered an immersive journey through surfaces, finishes and collections. At its heart, the Venetian Agora, clad in Giulio Cappellini’s Venezia collection, became a focal point for meetings, exchanges and conversations with architects, designers and partners.

The highlights of the exhibition were the material palettes displayed on elegant easels: a format that allowed visitors to freely explore the possibilities offered by the collections, from Metalli to Rocks, from wood decors with the Velwood finish to the Colours range enhanced by the Ostuni finish.

Concept Preview: visitors cast their votes for Abet Laminati.

The Concept Preview attracted considerable attention, featuring 18 new decors never seen before: 10 inspired by natural stone and 8 by wood grains. More than a simple product presentation, this preview gave visitors the opportunity to vote for their favourites and actively participate in the selection process. The decors receiving the most votes will subsequently be launched on the market: an approach that transforms the trade fair into an opportunity for co-creation between Abet Laminati and its community. Also featured within the Concept Preview was New Stone Effect, a new finish that reinterprets the material qualities of stone with a soft, sophisticated and subtly tactile effect.

The Rocks collection expands with Nival Linéa.

Among the highlights of this edition is Nival Linéa, the new decor in the Rocks collection, born from the meeting of Abet Laminati’s material research and the creative vision of designer Andrea Federici. The Geo finish, inspired by the irregularities of nature, alternates rough and smooth grooves, creating a play of depth that enhances the three-dimensional quality and material identity of stone. The result is a material with an identity suspended between stone and wood: from stone, it retains visual solidity and layering; from wood, it draws directionality, warmth and a natural sense of softness. More than a simple covering, it becomes an element capable of defining space through continuity and rhythm. Versatile in interior design, it is suitable for both vertical and horizontal surfaces.
