For Abet Laminati, 2023 was a year full of important initiatives and news.
The company confirmed its participation in several national and international events: first of all, the Salone del Mobile, where it presented “Abet Factory”, an extension of the company in the heart of Milan’s Brera district. Abet then flew to Interzum in Cologne and then Sicam in Pordenone, where it presented the absolute novelty of the Mare Nostrum collection designed by Matteo Ragni in Re-Abet, a product made from 100% recycled kraft paper.
As always, the company was on the side of a number of important initiatives that took place during the year.
Abet supported a series of educational projects. In particular, it organised the workshop “From paper to laminate: a world of colours with Abet Laminati” for SOUx, the school of architecture for children created thanks to the architects Mario Cucinella and Caterina Malinconico. It also renewed its support for the second edition of the “Sensorial Surface Design” master’s course organised by POLI.design in collaboration with Assopannelli di FederlegnoArredo.
For charity, Abet supplied laminates from the Metalli collection to create “Pirellino and Velaschina“, two works designed by Matteo Ragni that were then auctioned at the GoodStART charity auction organised by Fondazione TOG – Together To Go Onlus in collaboration with Christie’s Italia.
The company also supported various other events and designers: Simone Micheli, Marcello Morandini e Giulio Iacchetti.
Finally, the company announced its participation in the new project “Dedalus Restart“, an appointment with design that will take place in 2024, curated by the Piero Fraire Association in Bra.
At the end of the year, Abet was one of the technical sponsors of the Bark Crib project, designed by architect Michel Boucquillon with Donia Maaoui for Alessi SpA and displayed in the centre of Lucca during the Christmas festivities.
