Student projects at the POLI.design “Sensorial Surface Design” Master, supported by Abet Laminati

The first edition of “Sensorial Surface Design“, the new Master’s course at POLI.design (founded by the Politecnico di Milano), has ended with the final presentation of the student’s projects, with great satisfaction for the students, professors and partner companies.

Under the scientific direction of Professors Mario Bisson and Cristina Boeri and in collaboration with Assopannelli by FederlegnoArredo, this new training project is dedicated to the design of the perceptual and technical aspects of surfaces. It aims to train professionals to manage all the theoretical, technical and practical aspects related to colours, materials and finishes, as well as the emotional identity of surfaces.

As planned, the training period ended with the presentation of the projects realised by the students, who also chose to include the products of the partner companies in their research. In particular, one of them took inspiration from Diafos for a structured and translucent design surface.

The course was supported by important partner companies in the design world, including Abet Laminati.

Abet Laminati has always been a firm believer in the value of training and knowledge in the field of furniture and interiors and, over the years, has always participated in and supported initiatives like this.

Poli.design has already confirmed the second edition for the 2023/2024 academic year.
