Ugo Nespolo, one of the protagonists of Italian art, will exhibit in Pisa in a worderful location: Santa Maria della Spina Church, where Pop Art meets the magic of the fourteenth century.
Nespolo is one of the most original artists of the contemporary scene and his attention has been dedicated to numerous area of interest: from experimental cinema to painting, from commercials to sculpture.
As suggested by Palomar, one of the characters depicted by Italo Calvino, “Only after knowing the surface of things (…) you can push yourself to look for what is underneath. Nevertheless, the surface of things is inexhaustible”. This is the extraordinary discovery made by Ugo Nespolo, with his endless and inexhaustible journey in the season of contemporary art and talking on surfaces, some Abet laminates realized with the digital printing technology characterize the exhibition, reproducing also some images and drawings made by the artist.
