Abet Laminati supports HUMAN CODE, Roberto Sironi’s personal exhibition, curated by Annalisa Rosso for 5VIE, that will be presented in the basements of the SIAM during the Milano Design Week 2019.
The exhibition, which is the result of a long reflection on human being and on its relation with nature carried out by the Milanese designer since the onset of his research, is presented through a fascinating path dedicated to a selection of ten projects.
Abet laminates, particularly the Blu Faenza, Colours Collection – the pattern chosen by the designer – will help highlight some of Roberto Sironi’s works who explains his relationship with laminate and his choice for HUMAN CODE: “I needed an artificial material that could be an aesthetic as well as a meaningful complement to my works so much so that it could become an integral part of the project itself and of the overall research underpinning HUMAN CODE … With regard to the laminate for instance and therefore to Abet Laminati, its belonging to the history of Italian and international design and its great versatility have led me to approach it with attention and awareness to grasp its inner nature”.
He then adds: “I have always admired the pieces that have been produced using this material throughout the years. After visiting the Abet Laminati Museum you can really understand how each designer and artist has given his own interpretation of it. The Abet laminate is a sort of passe-partout for the designer and one that lends itself to be used in a great deal of different ways and in different contests”.
