Archi-Tectonics was founded by architect Winka Dubbeldam in 1994 with offices in New York, the Netherlands and China and with Justin Korhammer, partner since 2016, they are developing significant projects.
The exhibition: “Archi-Tectonics / Winka Dubbeldam & Justin Korhammer, New York. Flat Lands & Massive Things – From NL to NYC & Beyond”, documents how the influences of Winka Dubbeldam’s Dutch-American biography are consciously or unconsciously reflected in her work and will give an insight into the creative working methods of Archi-Tectonics, combining the use of the newest digital technologies with philosophical approaches.
The Studio is known for its use of hybrid sustainable materials and smart building systems and on this occasion Abet Laminati products have been chosen to create a big “L” shape table made with Metalleido and MEG panels customized with the digital printing technology, showing all the artworks exhibited through a collage of pictures.
Winka selects for her projects “advanced materials” to make the choice of graphic design in modern building easier, that’s why MEG has been chosen: to highlight this preference through a striking visual impact.
