A large exhibition celebrates the artist, architect, designer at MA*GA Museum in Gallarate.
The exhibition, organized in collaboration with the Fondazione Morandini, an organisation founded in December 2016 for the purposes of establishing a museum dedicated to the artist, includes more than 200 works including drawings, sculptures, architecture projects, renderings and models, and product design from the early 1960s to the present days. The works define Morandini’s precise style positioned between art, architecture, and design.
The exhibition is organized by themes and unfolds highlighting key moments in his long creative career.
Morandini: “That at MA*GA is not intended as a classic retrospective but rather as an exhibition to be perused and read slowly, not necessarily word for word but in this case through the ‘forms’ that have been created over the years and have been brought together here to tell their simple story.”
The dialogue between Marcello Morandini’s creativity and the versatility of Abet laminates continues and finds expression through this exhibition: a decor of the Full-Colour Collection (Bianco Porcellana) will be the background that will enhance Morandini’s works in the “Casa del Design” (“The Design House”) inside the Exhibition, while the impressive Scultura A370 1994/2012 and Scultura 563 A 2010/2014 realised with Abet Laminati Stratificato HPL, will be shown in the Arrival Area of Milano Malpensa, Terminal 1 airport; the sculpture is a unique artwork and its unmistakable style will invite to visit the solo show.
